Most drone autonomy available today depends on an uplink and remote inference. That is the component most likely to fail at the moment it matters, and it caps range, adds latency, and limits where an aircraft can be trusted to operate.
We run inference on the aircraft, within the compute a small airframe can actually carry. Perception, decision and control happen locally, so behavior does not change when the link degrades. If connectivity drops, the aircraft continues within the authority and limits it was given rather than improvising or stopping mid-task, and when the link returns the operator gets a clear account of what happened in between.
Where it helps: operations beyond visual line of sight, in contested or congested spectrum, and anywhere a network dependency is not acceptable.
